The Mabini Obelisk

The Polytechnic University of the Philippines in the City of Manila, commonly known as PUP Santa Mesa or PUP, formally Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Main (Filipino: Politeknikong Unibersidad ng Pilipinas sa Maynila) is the flagship and the most prominent member of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines System, located at Santa Mesa, Manila, along the Pasig River.

The PUP Manila consists of three sub-campuses named Mabini, NDC, and M.H. del Pilar. The house where Mabini died is now located in the main campus of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. The simple nipa house retains the original furniture, and some of the books he wrote, and also contains souvenir items, while hosting the municipal library and reading facilities, hence, the main campus is named after Mabini. [1] The offices of the University Officials, Ninoy Aquino Learning Resources Center, PUP Gym and open courts are also located here.

Colleges and Departments

The 16 colleges of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Manila, are classified into two groups: the Independent colleges and the United colleges. The colleges that belong to the independent classification are those that are independent of the governance of the Main Campus director and have their own college building located outside the school campus. Although attached to P.U.P., Manila, which is the main campus, the independent colleges prefer their freedom to ensure their competitiveness as academic institutions with the college deans as the executive governor. The United colleges are those that are under the supervision of the Main Campus director. The colleges in the A. Mabini Center belong to this classification.

Programs
